An adequate amount of Physical Activity and a well balanced diet is a crucial part to any person looking to lead a healthier life. Today, in children ages 2-19, 18.5% or 13.7 million children are considered obese in the united states (CDC Report). The CDC makes a comparison between 1976-1980 and 2007-2008. They found that the rate of childhood obesity in 1976-1980 and 2007-2008 increased from 5.0% to 10.4%.

"Aerobic activities should make up the physical activity. Muscle and bone strengthening activities should be incorporated on at least 2 days a week" (Leblanc 2010).
